Lincoln Project: Excellence and Access in Public Higher Education

On January 28, 2013, the Academy of Arts & Sciences (AAAS) announced a new initiative, The Lincoln Project: Excellence and Access in Higher Public Education.  Led by UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert J. Birgeneau, the campaign aims to assess current threats to public higher education, develop recommendations for improvements and advocate for public colleges and universities across the nation. The three-year Lincoln Project will focus on a series of national conferences, bringing together a range of state and federal entities including policymakers, elected officials, educators, business leaders and philanthropists.
