Jack in the Box Seeks a Touchdown with Launch of "Hot Mess Burger"

In anticipation of this year's heavily anticipated Super Bowl XLVII, San Diego-based fast food chain Jack in the Box announced today the release of a limited-edition burger, coined the "Hot Mess Burger", in tribute to the secret 80's rock star past of its founder, Jack Box. As a means of promotion, regional West Coast viewers will be able to view a brief 30-second advertisement featuring the launch of the new menu option during the Super Bowl in an effort to capitalize on the large viewership. Additionally, in collaboration with the paid media spot, the campaign focuses on traditional and digital marketing tactics to generate not only consumer consumption for its latest product lunch, but to increase revenue for the struggling company as it continues to face fierce competition from rival restaurant competitors.
